The Problem
Ta Canijo needed to move all 12 of their taco trucks to digital signage immediately. Their original menus were painted onto the trucks, which made price changes, item updates, and new additions almost impossible. They also needed both horizontal menu screens and vertical promotional screens at every location, plus a fast way to connect their online ordering, social media, and pump cards to a single digital system. The biggest challenge: traditional commercial digital signage setups would have cost them around $27,000, way outside the budget.
The Plan and Services
The plan was to build a full digital signage ecosystem using affordable hardware, custom-designed digital menus, promotional screens, and synced scheduling for breakfast and regular menus. Alongside that, I created a branded link hub to connect their online ordering, social platforms, and pump card QR codes into one clean system. The goal was flexibility, fast updates, and a huge cost savings without sacrificing quality. (Note: I did not install the TVs in this photo, and it was a temporary solution to having them up. I do not mount the TVs, only install the software)
The Solution
I sourced and installed 24 TV screens: 12 horizontal 50-inch menu boards and 12 vertical 43-inch promotional screens. I designed all digital menus and graphics, updated every price, and built the full promotional screen system using their existing content. I synced all screens across 12 locations and added timed menu scheduling so breakfast automatically disappears when it ends. We also installed a new digital drive-through menu and created a link hub that connects their ordering, social media, website, and pump card QR codes into one seamless platform.
The Results
All 12 locations now have fully digital, remotely updated menus that can be changed in seconds without touching the trucks. The entire system cost around 20% of the typical commercial price and instantly solved years of menu limitations. Promotions now display automatically, breakfast menus turn off on schedule, and updating prices across all locations takes minutes instead of months. Their digital infrastructure is now modern, synced, and built to scale with zero disruption to daily operations.
